Completed in 2019, the Wylie Junior High School has the become the educational anchor point for the east Abilene area. Encompassing 117,800 square feet, the school incorporates a 5000sf cafetorium, serving 420 students, with stage for UIL type performances, and 24,000sf of educational space There are two gymnasiums that total 18,515sf and seating for 1196 spectators. The clean modern design sits atop a pronounced vista that allows the 2800sf library to have one of the most dramatic views of any educational space in the west Texas area. The clearly defined main entrance allows for staff to monitor visitors though the security vestibule to maximize student safety. Wylie ISD is the 17th fastest growing district in the state. The Wylie Junior High will provide excellent educational spaces for years to come.
